Find Your Zen

Welcome to A to Zen Massage Therapy by Allison Tardi, RMT
My style of massage therapy focuses on regulating the nervous system rather than only treating muscle tension. By using slow, mindful touch and working with the body’s natural rhythms, the treatment helps shift the body from a fight-or-flight response into a rest-and-restore state, supporting relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellbeing.

Services

Custom Massage
Add Hot Stone (+$15)
Add Cupping (+$5)

Techniques, pressure and focus areas will be customized to your specific goals and will include elements of both Swedish and deep tissue massage.

A deeply relaxing massage using smooth heated stones to melt tension, ease muscles, and calm the nervous system.

Cupping helps increase circulation and separate muscle tissues that have become adhered together. Static and dynamic techniques are used so there will be little to no marking after a treatment.

$100 / 60, $120 / 75, $135 / 90, $175 / 120

Essential Oil Massage (+$15)

8 Essential Oils are applied to the back or feet. The oils have been chosen to focus on the areas of stress relief, immune enhancement, inflammatory response reduction, and homeostasis.

TMJ/Headache Massage

Targeted therapy usually focused on shoulders, neck, face, and scalp. Both traditional massage techniques and fascia work will be used. Intra-oral (inside the mouth) work is optional.

Mindful Meditation Massage

Start by relaxing the mind and that will lead to a relaxed body. During your massage you will choose from either a grounding or enlightening meditation which will play during your massage. Guided imagery and the principles of yoga nidra will be used to help you practice staying in the moment.

Somatic Reset Massage

Somatic Reset Massage is a gentle, nervous-system–focused treatment that helps your body shift out of “fight or flight” and into deep rest. Gentle therapies focused on fascia such as cranio sacral work or myofascial release will be used. Typically this is done fully clothed and no oil will be used. This work is especially helpful if you feel stuck in stress, burnout, or chronic tension. The goal is to “reset” your body’s baseline, so you leave feeling calmer, grounded, and more at home in yourself.

About A to Zen Massage

Welcome! My name is Allison Tardi, RMT. I have worked as a massage therapist in Calgary since I graduated from Mt. Royal College in 2008. Over the years, I’ve expanded my knowledge and skills, and my path has led me to study the importance of both the fascia within the body and working with the nervous system on issues such as anxiety and chronic tension. I’ve been inspired by work such as *The Body Keeps the Score* and have continued my studies in John Barnes–style myofascial release and craniosacral therapy, more recently branching into somatic work.
On a personal level, I am married with two children—one already an adult and one a teenager. I enjoy yoga, walking, and have recently started listening to podcasts. I have a pet rabbit, and I have Celiac disease, so I’m always on the lookout for good gluten-free food!

How do I book?
All bookings are done through my Noterro website. You can access it by clicking any of the "Book Now" buttons on this site and it will take you to the site to see my availability and to book your appointment. Once you have booked, you will be e-mailed a health history form. Please complete this as soon as possible, and no later than the day before your appointment.

What payment types do you accept?
Cash (exact change only)
E-transfer
Debit / Credit

What is your cancellation policy?
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. A charge of 50% of the booked service will be applied to your account and this will need to be paid before any future bookings can be made. If you are sick, please do not attend your appointment. Please call or e-mail with as much notice as possible.

What is your late arrival policy?
All appointments will begin and end at their scheduled times to avoid impacting the following client. No reduction in fees will occur if you arrive late to your appointment.

Do I need to arrive early?
Arriving 5-10 minutes early will allow your massage to start at the scheduled time. An intake form will be e-mailed to you after you have booked so you can fill this out at home. This must be completed before the start of the session or it may cut into your massage time.

What should I wear for my massage?
For massage therapy you will undress to your level of comfort. If a session is entirely myofascial release – shorts and a sports bra works the best. For craniosacral therapy you will remain fully clothed. It is best to wear comfortable athletic wear.
